Medicare

What is Medicare? Every day 10,000 Americans turn 65. For some this may mean retirement, but for everyone, this likely means enrollment in Medicare. Currently, there are over 55 million Americans enrolled in Medicare. Whether you’re currently enrolled, or will be soon, it’s always a good time to become Medicare savvy. As the healthcare industry continues to evolve, preparing and aligning your needs with Medicare will help you take control of your health and ensure you receive the highest quality coverage at the best price.

Medigap Plans

Medigap (also referred to as Medicare Supplement) plans pay after Medicare has paid its share for Medicare-approved treatment. Medicare Supplement plans allow you to go any doctor who participates in Medicare. There are no physician or hospital networks or referrals required for a specialist’s care.

Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage plans, referred to as Medicare Part C, allow you to get all the coverage Medicare Parts A & B offer, including prescription drug coverage in a single plan. However, there are restrictions. You must stay within the either HMO and PPO plan network, and you must choose a primary care physician. Most procedures and services will have out-of-pocket costs and referrals are required to see a specialist.
